Suriname: 'There is a potential to grow sufficient flowers here'
The Surinam Orchids and Ornamental Association (SOSV) wants to discourage the import of flowers. President Ireen Struiken-Zeeuw claims that there is a potential for cultivating sufficient flowers domestically. Many flowers are still imported while in fact it should not be necessary, according to Struiken-Zeeuw. This was reported in De Surinaamse Newspaper.
