Yesterday, Wednesday August 23rd, the Holland Dahlia Event was launched by Bart Siemerink, director of Keukenhof. This event is meant to promote the Dahlia, one of the earliest crops cultivated for commercial reasons in the Netherlands. It is an event that displays all aspects of dahlias. Companies in the most important production region in the Netherlands – between Leiden and Haarlem – are opening their doors from Thursday to Saturday, August 24 – 26.

The event is being held at the same time as the Plantarium, the country's largest tree nursery trade fair in the Netherlands. This means you can combine visits to two trade fairs in one trip to the Netherlands.
