Biobest generates buzz at Cultivate

Biobest North America participated in Cultivate 2017 in Columbus Ohio, USA. On Saturday July 15, The American Horticultural Society hosted an all-day, hands on bio-control workshop. This workshop was intended for more advanced users of bio-controls and had full attendance of 75 people who came out to listen to industry specialists and suppliers. Representatives from Bioworks, BASF, Bioline, Beneficial Insectary, and Biobest all gave presentations. Paul Koole and Jason MacDonald were present for Biobest. Paul’s presentation to the group focused on Nutrimite and Nutricards as supplemental feeding of beneficials as one of the morning sessions. In the afternoon session about Banker Plants, Paul also spoke about Aphid Bankers and how to make them an integral part of a bio-control system. This workshop was extremely well received and future workshops have been planned.

The Biobest team added two members to this year’s group. Jason MacDonald and Charlie McKenzie. Jason has been with Biobest for 9 years, recently changing positions from Bee production supervisor to internal sales. Charlie has joined Biobest after spending several years as a grower and greenhouse manager bringing with him extensive experience using bio-controls in the production of ornamentals.

Both were in attendance at Cultivate 17’. Networking and great conversation were alive and well at this year’s Biobest booth.
