Take a peek at seven Dutch nurseries

Yesterday, seven Dutch nurseries opened their doors on the island Voorne-Putten. On this island, many vegetables are cultivated, but there are several ornamental growers. And they want to make their 'voice' heard and organised this open day to attract the traders to the island and their nurseries. Kwekerij de Look, Voornse Plantenkwekerij, Phalaenova, Globe Plant, Groene Tint, Leo vd Harg and Island Plant all participated.

Loes Linders and Vera Grootscholten, Globe Plant.

At Globe, the greenhouses were partly empty because of crop rotations. On this picture their cyclamen crop.

At the company, this propagation machine is running. A unique edition; there's only four like this one in the world.

Gijs van Adrichem of Kwekerij de Look. The company exists one year and is developing its own assortment, including grasses and - on this picture - Cineraria Silverdust.

Jessica van den Bos of Island Plants.

De Voornse Plantenkwekerij is a large player in the area of vegetable plants, but also grows quite a large assortment of pot chrysanthemums. On this photo: Mieke Mulder.

And like last year; skeet shooting. (On the photo: Loes Linders, Globe Plant):
