Arno Rijnbeek, Rijnbeek & Son:

NL: 'Enhanced digging machine boosts bareroot lifting season'

In 2016, Rijnbeek & Son took delivery of a new and exclusive digging machine. Produced by Van Gerven, this was specially designed to make the lifting of bareroot plants easier and quicker.

Increased soil removal
One year on and a new shaking mechanism has been attached to the rear of the machine which allows even more soil to be removed from the plants. This provides a further boost for the bareroot lifting season at this leading Boskoop based nursery.

Bareroot plant expansion
Arno Rijnbeek said “The aim of this machine is that soil is removed easier from the plants within the machine. With the new mechanism, we can now save even more time removing plants from the field. Given the continued expansion of our bareroot production, this is very important. The time we now save means we can start earlier in dividing the plants into the different sizes required by our customers."
