Flower Circus was specially invited to the Flowervision Southampton open day. During the flower show, Ruud Hazelaar was teaching new techniques, tips and tricks to the florists to use in their store. This also enabled the florists to distinguish themselves from the competition and in particular from the retail sector. "Surprise the customers, just like we are surprising you now". The supermarkets try to offer more flowers and bouquets (even mourning flowers can be ordered from some). This makes it even more important for florists to distinguish themselves, so there is a need to keep on evolving.
While Flower Magician Ruud Hazelaar was doing his work, we could also reveal the background of the presented flowers and the growers. Also here the audience listened very attentively. It appears that the florists often don’t know what it takes before the flowers arrive in their shop.
This time there were also 2 special guests: Stefan de Hoog from Anthura and John Koopman from Yourlily. They were able to persuade the florists with their wonderful products, and could see that these kind of shows contribute to good product promotion and also directly result in sales.
