Ultra Violet

Pantone Color of the Year good news for flower business

The Sun Valley Floral Farms welcomes the 2018 Pantone Color of the Year “Ultra Violet.” According to the Pantone Institute, “Ultra Violet is a dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity and visionary thinking that points us to the future.”

Ultra Violet is expressed in many flowers grown commercially. Sun Valley’s Marketing Specialist, Bill Prescott, says, “This year’s Pantone selection reflects the popularity we see for our purple and lavender flowers. Matsumoto Asters, Lisianthus, and of course, purple Tulips and Iris, are very much in demand, and this trend will only grow as Ultra Violet becomes more prevalent in weddings, interior design, and fashion.”
