Ecuador: Valleflor receives BASC and Flor Ecuador Certification

2017 ended in a high note for Ecuadorian summer flower grower Valleflor. They were nominated as one of the best companies at the BASC Certification and they won the award in their category. Besides that, they also won the Expoflores award for the fulfillment of 100% in the Flor Ecuador Certification. "We are proud of all the effort of our staff to achieve the goals and to be able to receive acknowledgements and awards such as those achieved this year."

BASC - Business Alliance for Secure Commerce, is an international business alliance, created to promote secure international trade in cooperation with governments and international organizations.

Flor Ecuador Certification: Flor Ecuador Certified since 2005 has been constituted in an Integral Scheme of Certification of social and environmental scope for Ecuadorian companies dedicated to the production and marketing of Ecuadorian flowers.

Good Farming practices: Promote the development and adoption of non-conventional methods for crop management, mitigating environmental impact.
Environmental care: Create commitment in the environmental performance of companies, measuring results based on continuous improvement and national policy.

Valleflor was established 19 years ago as a family business in Puembo, Ecuador. We focus our production towards the best varieties of summer flowers. We own three neighboring farms totaling more than 70 acres. We keep widening our production by trying as many "coded test plants" as possible from our breeders. This allows us to offer our customers the newest varieties.
