NL: Van den Bos Flowerbulbs acquires J.A. Stolze De Lier
J.A. Stolze De Lier has been active in the Westland region for decades, and specializes in packaging and cold storage of lily bulbs. Annually, over 400,000 crates with lily bulbs are processed. In addition to its own storage capacity, during the seasonal peak they make use of additional cooling facilities at third parties.
Following the acquisition, J.A. Stolze De Lier will continue to operate as an independent company under the same name. Jan Stolze will still be involved with the company for some time. The acquisition will not have consequences for employees.
ULO storage
J.A. Stolze De Lier has ULO chambers, giving them an edge in the long-term storage of lily bulbs. With ULO (short for "Ultra Low Oxygen"), a very low oxygen amount is maintained in fully air-tight storage chambers.
