A celebration of carnation history

As much as it is nice to read about expanding companies and new varieties - it is also nice to take a look at history from time to time. For example this video from 1966, published by British Pathé. It shows the process from growing to packing in a carnation farm in West Sussex, United Kingdom.

There was no lack of innovation during those times. "They're planning an automated climate control under this 14-acre garden empire of glass where the Saturday afternoon hobby becomes a full-scale industry."

Enjoy this video and see 'how the carnations are packed and sent to every corner of the country to make every day seem like spring.'
