US (MN): New Emerald Ash Borer and Palmer Amaranth finds

On September 13, 2018, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) announced the discovery of a new emerald ash borer (EAB; Agrilus planipennis) infestation in Wright County and has declared an emergency quarantine for the entire county.

In addition to the recent find of emerald ash borer (EAB) in Wright County in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) has also confirmed a new infestation of Palmer amaranth (Amaranthus palmeri) in Redwood County in west-central Minnesota.
