In order to stimulate sustainability in the chain, Royal FloraHolland will present the Greenovation Awards at the Trade Fair Aalsmeer this year for the second time.
The winners of the 2017 Greenovation Awards
A sizeable part of the nominations concerns developments in the area of packaging materials for plants and flowers - paper, cardboard and degradable biomaterials as an alternative to plastics.
The jury calls on the entire sector to drive this development forward, ensuring that the sector is no longer associated with plastic waste, or at least very little. This could for example happen by combining various entries into comprehensive concepts for the growing and packaging of flowers and plants.

The nominations will be presented in the Royal FloraHolland House at the Trade Fair Aalsmeer. During the first day of the trade fair and during the family evening, you can personally assess the nominations. You and the professional jury, each for 50%, will determine this year's winners.
Awards presentation
The Awards will be presented by Steven van Schilfgaarde (CEO Royal FloraHolland) on Thursday 8 November 2018 at 1 PM in the Royal FloraHolland House.
