At the moment, a long cherished wish of Van Zanten Breeding B.V. comes true in having one location in the ‘Sabana de Bogotá’ in which we can show and grow all our flowers and young plants.
This location is located on the farm of the carnation specialist, Colibri Flowers S.A.
Recently Mr. Andres Toro from Colibri Flowers S.A. and Mrs. Sjoukje Heimovaara from Van Zanten Breeding B.V. signed the documents which will be the start of a prosperous collaboration. In the course of next year the new location will show varieties of Alstroemeria, Chrysanthemum and Limonium. We are very excited to start the collaboration with Colibri Flowers, and are looking forward to a great opening of our new location in 2019.

Today we grow top quality carnations, spray carnations, Green ball and red roses on our 65 hectares, located forty five minutes away from the Bogota airport. Royal Van Zanten's breeding programme includes the development of Lilies; cut flowers including Alstroemeria, Bouvardia, Chrysanthemums and Statice; and pot plants such as Alstroemeria, Aster, Celosia and different types of Chrysanthemums. The market demands and customer’s wishes are fundamental to our breeding efforts. Our aim is to develop innovative, high-quality products for the professional grower.
