Germany: Minister of Agriculture visits biogas specialist

Plant manufacturer Weltec Biopower is very satisfied with the results of its participation in the EnergyDecentral/EuroTier 2018 in Hanover, Germany. The German biogas specialist made good use of the specialised trade show to present its concepts for new plants around the globe, the Kumac processing system for slurry and digestate and its comprehensive range of services for existing plants.

"This year, we recorded an exceptionally high number of qualified contacts especially from overseas, who were greatly interested in investing in new plants“, says Jens Albartus. The Director of Weltec Biopower is convinced that this clearly underlines how future-proof bioenergy is.

The team from Lower Saxony welcomed professional visitors from more than 40 countries at its booth. "The high proportion of foreign visitors also reflects the fact that our biogas and biomethane plants are already in operation in 25 countries. By using stainless steel as a building material, we ensure a high plant quality, regardless of the location“, says Jens Albartus.

The Kumac processing system for slurry and digestate was another key attraction at the trade show. "The keen interest the audience manifested in this tried and tested technology shows that farmers are closely examining the nutrient situation and expect a mature, reliable technology such as Kumac“, reports the Weltec Director.

Barbara Otte-Kinast, Lower Saxony‘s Minister of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection was among those who visited Weltec Biopower‘s booth for information on this subject. The expert farmer expressed her appreciation of the Kumac projects in Germany and confirmed that she would come and visit the Kumac plant in Reichenbach, Saxony, in 2019.

The District Administrator of Weltec headquarter city Vechta, Herbert Winkel, who also visited the trade show for decentralised energy supply, shared this view. He too was impressed by the innovative biogas production and liquid manure processing solutions that are being developed in his district.
