Diyarbakir municipality will continue to provide flowers to all the green areas as they did in the summer and will plant 2 million winter flowers in 4 different districts, namely Kayapinar, Sur, Yenisehir and Baglar, in the city.

Around 1.5 million of these plants are purchased from growers in Diyarbakir, a major city located in southeastern Turkey, whereas the rest is grown by the Parks Department of the municipality itself in the municipality’s greenhouses in Seyrantepe. 50,000 flowers in the municipality greenhouse is already ready for planting whereas 450,000 is left for maturation. The majority of these flowers are viola and ornamental cabbage and after planting is complete, the city’s parks department will handle the maintenance and care of these flowers.
