Novelties on display at IPM Essen:

PlusPlants goes beyond flowering plants

Besides flowering plants, there will be more on display at the PlusPlants booth during the IPM Essen 2019. This merger, consisting of 9 German potted plant growers, will showcase 4 berry varieties (produced by three of the group's growers) as well as a new winter-hard tea. Besides, the award winning "Star-Fever" of Hethor Flowers and the brand-new concept for vegetables “PflückBar” from Rieke Blumen cannot be missed out either.

"Hmmmmbeeren" Assortment
The three PlusPlants partners Artmeyer, Engels and Freese will start producing 4 different berry varieties in 2019. The core of this assortment, consisting of raspberries, blueberries and blackberries, is "Immediate fun as it can be harvested in the same year". These three German growers supply the bushes in 5 liter pots with fruits and with an uniform design. "All varieties are carefully tested and equipped with fertilizer for the consumer to use on the terrace, balcony and in the garden."

"Star Fever":
Hethor Flowers presents the novelty "Star Fever". The new variety has won the Taspo Award "Variety of the year" and will be available in larger quantities for the first time. ""Star Fever" brings the star-shaped flower in pure white an extraordinary elegance and look in the time of "early spring". The pure white makes it possible to use outside the bright spring colors and in the modern living room. The primula is exceptionally durable and relatively insensitive to warm locations", explains Rupert Fey, Managing Director PlusPlants GmbH.

Presentation of further novelties during the fair
Another novelty that will be on display is winter-hard tea from German production. It will be shown for the first time. Besides, new product sizes of the shooting star "Rembrandt" for hydrangeas, the “Easy Ivy” Hedera Ideas and the Phalaenopsis "Showtime" in a new packaging will be added.

IPM Essen
The IPM Essen will be held from January 22-25, 2019 in Essen Germany. At this show, over 1,500 exhibitors will present their products and services. Also PlusPlants. They can be found in Hall 2 Booth 2A32.
