UK: Star Plants purchased by Fleurie Nursery Limited

As of 15th March 2019 James Turner and Mike Tristram have signed a deal such that Fleurie Nursery Ltd have purchased the site, stock and assets of Star Plants.

All Star Plants staff, many of whom are very experienced and have served Star Plants loyally for years will be welcomed into the Fleurie Nursery team.

James Turner has owned and ran Star Plants since 1983, developing the business into a thriving hardy nursery stock enterprise whilst also growing a number of promotional herbaceous lines. During this time, James has also served as chair of Farplants and also the West Sussex Growers Association training committee. Many managers within the West Sussex area now working in a variety of ornamental nurseries spent time learning the trade whilst at Star Plants.

Steve Carter, Director and Technical Manager at Fleurie Nursery, says: “There has been a history of close collaboration between colleagues at Fleurie Nursery and Star Plants. We are now looking forward to realising the opportunities that will arise from working as one team”.

Marc Jones, Managing Director of Tristram Plants, says: “This is an exciting new chapter for Tristram Plants, Fleurie Nursery Ltd and the Farplants Group”.
