How flowers belong to US graduation traditions

In May and June, Graduation is celebrated in the US and flowers cannot be missed out in the traditions. They are used in the corsage or boutonnière that are given to the graduate prior to the graduation ceremony and bouquets, among other gifts, are given afterwards. Also at the graduation parties flowers often color the rooms. At Koen Pack, they tap into this event by offering several different flower sleeves.

Flowers in the traditions
It is a tradition to present the graduate with a corsage or boutonnière prior to the graduation ceremony. Many parents reward their graduating child with a bouquet of flowers, gifts and balloons after the ceremony. Graduation parties are popular for students graduating from high school and university.  They are usually held at banquet halls, parks, or even at home. These are usually done after the commencement ceremonies. Flowers are very popular during these celebrations.

Graduation sleeves
At Koen Pack, they tap into this event by designing several sleeves for this particular occasion. The Magical touch sleeve, for example, is their latest addition, with the black/gold being the most popular for graduation.

And besides sleeves, they also offer pot covers in traditional graduation colors and picks like the graduation Cap pick and #1 pick which can be added to any flower bouquet or plant. "We also offer custom items for this event."

Graduation in the US
Graduation across the U.S.A. is celebrated during the months of May and June. High school and university graduates mark the end of their studies at commencement ceremonies. Graduates wear a graduation cap with a tassel and a gown that usually has the school’s official colors. Those graduating from high school and college move the tassel from the right to the left once they receive their diploma on stage. At the end of the ceremony many students throw their caps up in the air to celebrate their achievement. There are also smaller ceremonies for students graduating from preschool, kindergarten, elementary school and middle school.
