Danish nursery ready for cannabis cultivation

Nursery Rosa Danica, on the Danish island of Funen, is ready to build a mega greenhouse complex for growing medicinal cannabis. This will be realized in cooperation with the international cooperation FUTRUE Group from Germany. Rosa Danica will be the fourth horticulture company to make the switch to cannabis cultivation. The other three are Alfred Pedersen & Son, Spectrum, and  - most recently - Schroll.

According to a press release from Rosa Danica, the complex will be one of the largest in the world, with a production of 100 tons of medicinal cannabis per year, creating 100 jobs.

Torben Moth Madsen, owner of Rosa Danica, will manage the process. He is looking forward to meeting the increasing demand for medicinal cannabis. The new company, which will be a subsidiary of FUTRUE Group, will be called Vertanical Denmark. Production is expected to start this year.
