In their new company video, Belgium family business Denis-Plants gives a peek inside their greenhouse, where they produce tissue culture and the hardened young plants, ranging from the most diverse indoor plants to perennials. They are all derived from in-vitro multiplication and in this 1.5-minute video, the entire process is showed.
In 1997 Denis-Plants made its first investment in a tissue laboratory and in 2012, the company constructed a new, state-of-the-art R&D laboratory adjacent to the headquarters in Lochristi. The multiplication of in-vitro tissue is done in our affiliate facility in Vietnam, under complete and exclusive supervision of Denis-Plants.
The hardening takes place in their own greenhouse complex covering 30,000 m² and eight divisions, allowing for individual climate regulation.
Together with producing their own tissue culture for their greenhouse, they also sell them directly at that stage to countries like the USA, Australia and New Zealand, due to the phytosanitary regulations. In Western countries, they only supply weaned young plants. The main markets of Denis-Plants are Western Europe (in particular the Netherlands), USA, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
