"Where plants meet people“ – under this motto Selecta one presented its assortment of pot and bedding plants at FlowerTrials 2019. In total, more than 2600 visitors convinced themselves of new varieties and highlights at both locations of Selecta one.

Selecta’s presentation in the Rheinland Westfalen Region, as usual at the nursery Filla, attracted more than 500 visitors. The show garden there impressed with hanging baskets and flower boxes. In the adjacent hall, Selecta one showed its decoratively designed marketing concepts – from colour sensation and FleuroStar winner 2018/19 Osteospermum Purple Sun, to Pink Kisses – the most successful carnation of Selecta, the Sky Petunias with interesting novelties and late summery-autumnal combinations of the Autumn Friends concept. The current assortment of Selecta one was additionally displayed on planting tables.
Selecta one FlowerTrials location Holland at nursery P. van Geest
In the Westland Region in Holland, Selecta one exhibited at nursery P. van Geest, as in 2018. The large greenhouse provided ideal conditions for a combination of a huge flower show and attractive marketing setups. More than 2000 visitors informed themselves on-site and got inspired by the concepts. The products were highlighted in different settings, for instance, beach flair with Dianthus Peach Party, a magical and mysterious hovering Dianthus novelty Scully and Trixi varieties in a colourful scenic garden. Here the visitors could get inspired, discover novelties and become active by creating their own Autumn Friends mixes – creative ideas and some of the endless possibilities of the concept were also presented floristically. The flower show convinced with proven varieties, improved series and novelties, like the three new Pelargonium varieties of the series Marcada: Orange, White and Pink Purple, the double flowering Calibrachoa MiniFamous Neo Double OrangeTastic and the both Osteospermum of the series FlowerPower: Crystal Pink and Tropic Sun. Also, Selecta one expands its Petunia assortment: already new in this year’s assortment is the very dark variety Bonnie MysterySky with very fine, bright spots. For the introduction in season 2020/2021, Selecta one announces further varieties as enlargement of the Sky Petunias.

A central issue of the FlowerTrials shows of Selecta one was also the future of the young plant technology. Selecta one introduced its trademark ROCS at this year’s IPM. These are 34 in substrate rooted cuttings in a Multi Media strip by Visser for fully automatic processing in a Visser AutoStix machine. At the FlowerTrials, customers and interested people could now get more information on-site about the AutoStix technology by Visser Horti Systems with young plants from Selecta one. At the location in Holland, Selecta one and Visser demonstrated the fully automatic potting process with the Visser machine.
