Levy-funded projects are working to promote the establishment and maintenance of greenlife in Australian homes, businesses, and wider communities.
To support this, Plant Life Balance has released two new looks and have hosted their third consumer-facing event – bringing together speakers from various green backgrounds to share their passion for plants and provide some helpful tips.
New Plant Life Balance looks
From man’s best friend to outdoor oasis – these new looks provide a bit of inspiration for how greenlife can be incorporated into the home and workplace.
Backyard Bather
Featuring leafy plants with bright colours, this ultimate ‘me time’ vibe was created in collaboration with Urban Horticulturalist and owner of Kookawood in Lithgow, NSW, Fiona Bruyn.
Best Buds
Boasting lots of leafy, resilient and tactile plants, this look was produced in collaboration with hairdresser and owner of Newtown’s, A Loft Story, Jane Wei – aiming to show all pet lovers how they can create a pet-friendly oasis.
Plant Tales 101: Grand Plans & Dirty Hands
The Plant Life Balance team hosted their third consumer-facing event, ‘Plant Tales 101: Grand Plans & Dirty Hands’ at the Lightspace in Brisbane recently.
Panellists at the event shared their passion for plants, gave some insightful plant care tips, and demonstrated how to successfully re-pot plants.

Update: Growing Together Tour
Coordinated by the 202020 Vision program team, the 2019 national Growing Together tour is also underway – looking to promote the new community engagement kit; showing councils and developers the value of urban greenspace.
The national Growing Together tour has commenced.
This is the third national tour coordinated by the 202020 Vision program team; aiming to increase support for greening projects among councils, communities and businesses. The tour is unveiling a new community engagement kit that aims to promote increased urban greening; giving councils and developers new ways to involve and engage their communities.
The first event in Adelaide on May 30 attracted more than 100 attendees. The team hosted a workshop for councils and developers during the day, then later held a special industry event; bringing together growers, retailers and wider industry, to hear the latest 202020 Vision research, and insights from the workshop held earlier that day.
Events in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth are set to roll out across July and August. Find out when your local event is taking place and keep an eye out for updates.
