US (MO): Native plants and grasses inspire flower dress design

Floral artist Andrea K. Grist conjures a playful mini-dress infused with the personality of woodland, meadow and prairie, featuring botanicals sourced from Little Green Garden.

“I was inspired by the native plants and grasses that grow in and around the flower farms of Missouri and Kansas,” she says.

Beth and Joel Fortin of Little Green Garden harvested all the ingredients from their farm, including flowers, grasses, pods and evergreens. The extensive grounds of the location include tall grass prairies and tree-lined horse trails, reflecting the flora of this region.
