India: Centre for perishable cargo comes up near Bagdogra Airport

Siliguri-Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA) has joined forces with state Food Processing Industries and Horticulture Department with the financial assistance from Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and Assistance from States for Infrastructure Development for Exports (ASIDE) to come up with a Centre for Perishable Cargo (CPC) on its land adjacent to Bagdogra Airport.

The Centre for Perishable Cargo is an important facility for preservation of perishable goods from hinterland and exit point for export and movement of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers apart from other products.
