According to the data taken from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Konya is responsible for 98.4 % of the tulip production in the country. Konya is followed by Istanbul and Yalova respectively.

40.7 million stems of tulips have been grown in a production area of 41 hectares in 2018, so 100 stems were grown in the country per square meter. The data from the previous year indicate that 44.5 million stems were grown in 2017 which shows an 8.6 % decline in tulip production in 2018. Konya is responsible for 40 million stems whereas Istanbul is responsible for 560,000 stems of tulips grown in the country in 2018.

Tulip fields in Konya became also an important tourist attraction and receive many visitors both from Turkey and abroad during the months in spring.
