Royal FloraHolland appoints new Manager Grower Services and Cooperative Affairs

As of 1 September 2019, Claudia Hölzel will be appointed Manager Grower Services and Cooperative Affairs. In this role, she will also join the Management Team of Royal FloraHolland.

Claudia (56) is a manager with a track record of leading customer-focused departments within large companies with complex operations. For example, she held senior management functions with companies such as KLM, Randstad and DHL. More recently, she worked as the Operational Director of Environmental Services with Boskalis Westminster Group.

"Strong maker of connections"
Steven van Schilfgaarde, CEO Royal FloraHolland is very pleased with the appointment: "In the past, Claudia has proved to be a strong maker of connections. In this way, she is a great fit for Royal FloraHolland and the development we are currently going through as an organization. I wish her every success and much enjoyment in her function at Royal FloraHolland."

"Fantastic cooperative"
Claudia is looking forward to starting her job at Royal FloraHolland: "Royal FloraHolland is a fantastic cooperative, one that is crucial for both the Dutch and international floriculture. I grew up in an agricultural company, so I know all about the challenges of running such a company. This is why the service provision to our members, the bridging function of the Services for Growers and Cooperative Affairs, appeals to me so much."

Handing over tasks
With this role, Claudia will succeed Fedor Hoevenaars, who will perform the function ad interim until 1 September. From that time on, he will hand over his tasks to Claudia and subsequently support CCO Gerhard van der Bijl to further structure the Commerce department.

Members' Council Team
The Members' Council Team will become a part of the department Services for Growers and Cooperative Affairs. Leo Keijzer, Manager of the Members' Council Team, will hence become a member of the Services for Growers and Cooperative Affairs team.
