Mugla, a city located in the southwestern region of Turkey, is known for its contributions to agricultural production especially in citrus fruits. Nowadays the local municipality is developing new projects to boost local agricultural production in ornamental plants.

Various projects such as “Purchase guarantee for ornamental plants”, “Fragrance Valley”, “Pharmaceutical Aromatic Plants and Domestic Seeds Center” and “Agricultural Research Lab” are set up to encourage growers all around the city. More than 15 million ornamental plants are grown in 24 greenhouses and purchased by the municipality as a part of the purchase guarantee and used to decorate green areas and local parks in the city.
