"FlowersExpo – key to the Russian market"

For the ninth time, from September 10 to 12, in Moscow, at the largest Russian exhibition venue in Crocus Expo IEC, the next premiere of the international exhibition FlowersExpo will take place, which is showing record growth this year.

“FlowersExpo” is a showcase focusing on the world market of flowers and plants which has earned the status of the major event for representatives of the world and Russian flower industry.

Russia is one of the world’s largest consumers of cut flowers. According to experts, it is among the first six flower importing countries after the USA, Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain and France. The real size of the Russian flower market continues to be estimated at $ 40 billion.

450 companies from 30 countries
450 companies from Russia and 30 countries, over 5,000 world professionals and experts are among exhibition participants in 2019. This year the fair has expanded its borders and participants geography by 15%.

Assessing the high Russian potential and the role of the fair in business development, producers and exporters from the main countries producing flowers and ornamental plants again take part in this year’s project.

They display cut and pot flowers (popular on the Russian market), nursery products, seeds, planting stock and equipment, and present the latest trends in floral design.

National pavilions are again organized by the world leaders of the sector: Holland, Germany, Colombia and Ecuador, where they demonstrate the entire range of their products.

The number of participants from Belgium, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Poland, France and Japan has considerably grown this season. Spain, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Ethiopia are among the newcomers this year.

35 Russian regions
The Russian market is especially widely presented at the fair. The number of Russian participants has increased by 20 %.

Among the show participants, there are producers from 35 Russian regions including the largest flower complexes from the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Kaluga, Krasnodar, Penza, Yaroslavl, Adygea, Buriatia, Mordovia and Udmurtia.

Russian nurseries, seed companies, developers of equipment and IT-technologies, suppliers of fertilizers, grounds, products for floral design and landscape are also participants of the show.

The number of participants in the sections “Seeds and Planting Stock”, “Technology and Equipment” and “Products for Floristics and Landscape” and their exhibition space has considerably grown this year.

50 business program events 
Over 50 events targeted at a wide circle of professionals will be held within the frameworks of the exhibition business program including presentations, workshops, round tables and master classes.

The following themes are scheduled for discussion: “Russian flower market. State and prospects”, “Novelties and innovations in the nursery sector: “How to develop garden centers for successful future”, “World novelties in breeding of floral cultures” and other topical issues of the industry.

Over 500 exhibits are offered for the competitions “The Best Quality of the Product”, “Novelties of the Year” and “The Best Innovative Solution”.

A flower show cannot do without floristics. For three days running it will be turned into a floristic Mecca. The 20th Russian Florist Cup’2019 will take place with a record number of participants.

Masterpieces of floristry in a non-stop mode will be presented from Holland, Germany, Russia, Italy, Spain and other countries will be demonstrating their skills at the show non-stop.

"Key to the Russian market"
Demonstrating the progress of the world flower industry the fair plays the role of a global meeting place for the Russian and International professional community, an important business center for the local business.

Every year, the exhibition is visited not only by business representatives from 75 regions and at least 300 cities in Russia but also manufacturers and exporters from 40 countries for whom this project is an opportunity to get an idea of the Russian market and to initiate business cooperation.
