UK: Earley Ornamentals shows off new varieties at Four Oaks

Aligning its products with market influences for 2020, Earley Ornamentals has selected new varieties and colours to meet the needs of professional commercial and retail growers. Many of which will be on display at Four Oaks from 3-4 September along with the new 2020 catalogues available to support customers’ 2020 purchase and growing decisions.

Award-winning BeautiCal is now available in two new colours including French Vanilla and Bordeaux. This all-weather X Petchoa is proving a rising star and a superb growing opportunity, already having featured in displays at Gardeners’ World Live, RHS Chelsea and was an award winner at the 10th HTA National Plant Show this summer.

Other range additions for 2020 include new varieties like the all-weather Begonia Viking Chocolate, which provides a fast-growing mass of colour. Large plants loaded with flowers make it great for landscapes and containers. No other begonia series in this class offers chocolate foliage.

New Bella Fuchsia options
Four new colours - Faya, Laura, Maria and Lisa - have been added to the versatile Bella Fuchsia series.  Early flowering, free branching and highly floriferous, Bella Fuchsia ensures impressive colour sales of neat compact plants from April.

Providing a great commercial growing opportunity, the increasing number of semi-trailing double-flowered varieties also makes it ideal for the hanging pot market.

Fragrant new Nemesia
The bestselling Earley Nemesia range has also expanded with the introduction of five new fragrant bicolour options. New colours feature Sunpeddle Painted Plum, which provides a neat semi-trailing habit that makes it ideal for baskets, and two more colours for the Aroma collection. New varieties include large-flowered Cream Surprise and pretty Lady Penelope.

Latest 2020 catalogues now available
To support customer purchase and growing plans, 2020 Earley Ornamentals catalogues will be available on the stand for both the Bedding, Basket & Patio and Perennial ranges.

Keen to promote the new range to Four Oaks visitors, Earley Ornamentals Managing Director, Simon Earley said: “This is a key event in the UK ornamental horticulture calendar and this year’s stand will be more colourful than ever to help demonstrate the quality of young plants we deliver.

“Come and find out about our new range and upgraded production facilities. Contributing to productivity enhancement, we’ve made a £200,000+ investment in new gapping machinery, which has streamlined our operations even more.”
