Royal FloraHolland's Chief Commercial Officer Gerhard van der Bijl is moving to Albert Heijn, where he will continue his career as of 1 October 2019. He will be succeeded by Fedor Hoevenaars, who will fulfil the role of CCO on an interim basis.
Fedor Hoevenaars has been a member of the Royal FloraHolland Management Team for a year now and has been involved in the developments within the Commerce department for some time.
Steven van Schilfgaarde: "Gerhard has made a crucial contribution to the creation of the Floriday digital platform, the cooperation with Blueroots and the setting up of the IT organization. I would like to thank him for his contribution. I regret that he has chosen to pursue his career elsewhere, but I respect his decision. However, his successor Fedor Hoevenaars is completely familiar with the position, so continuity is guaranteed."
Gerhard van der Bijl: "I have worked with great pleasure and dedication on the transformation of Royal FloraHolland. Together with colleagues and partners from inside and outside the sector, we have achieved great results. FloraHolland is on the right course and there are many great things yet to come. I realize the work isn't finished yet. However, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity came up, which I seized with both hands."
