Showcasing the best plant passport solutions

Now that the introduction of the new plant passport on December 14 is getting closer, it is time to take action. In the video below, supplier & service provider GraphicALL Systems is happy to give an overview of the best available solutions. With the help of these systems, a suitable solution can be found for every grower.

Print and manually apply
When the production numbers are sufficiently low for manual processing, printing the plant passport on a self-adhesive label, slot or stick label is a great solution.

These materials can be printed on quickly and professionally with a thermal transfer printer. The (black /white) prints are of high quality and are moisture and U.V. resistant.

Different types of printers are available, depending on the desired production capacity and label size, as shown in the video below.

The layout of the label and control of the printer can be done from your Windows software or label layout software such as BarTender or NiceLabel.

Print and apply automatically
Self-adhesive labels are ideal for automatic application on packaging such as cardboard boxes, covers, crates or even pots. Because the labels are applied automatically, these systems are also suitable for larger product runs:

Print directly on packaging
To print the plant passport directly on packaging materials such as cardboard boxes, covers, trays, crates and pots, there are special inkjet printers that can apply coding at high speeds:

Another solution is the use of laser technology. The advantage of this is that consumables are not needed anymore. The laser changes the surface structure of the product itself. Not every material is suitable for this, because there must be enough contrast to be able to read the print.
