DVFG opens Long Island DC, acquires C.P. Flowers Direct

Delaware Valley Floral Group (DVFG) has announced the acquisition of certain assets of C.P. Flowers Direct, Inc, and has opened a new Distribution Center on Long Island in New York. The new facility is located at 923 Motor Parkway, Hauppauge, NY.

The C.P. Flowers Direct business has been integrated into DVFlora, an operating division of DVFG. C.P. Flowers Direct was started in 2006 by Claire Penney, providing cut flowers to the flower shops, florists and Wedding and Event industry professionals on Long Island and in the Hamptons. Ms. Penney stated “I am delighted that DVFlora will now continue to serve all of the wonderful clients that I have had the pleasure to call my customers.”

Operating out of a 17,000 sq ft facility, DVFG’s new Distribution Center covers all of Long Island, including an expanded territory throughout Suffolk County, the North Fork and areas south of Montauk. This newest Distribution Center is strategically located with direct access to I-495, as well as the John F. Kennedy International Airport. The Hauppague facility is designed to improve service level commitments to DVFG’s growing customer base on Long Island.

Jack Chidester stated: “We are excited to have a Distribution Center on Long Island. We have many long term, valuable customers on the Island already and this will allow us to service additional customers that are east of our current delivery footprint. We look forward to extending our DVFlora model of one of the largest selections of fresh farm-direct flowers, floral supplies, and botanicals through our new location in Hauppauge”.

Ken Wilkins stated: “This expansion strengthens our commitment and extends our footprint in the MidAtlantic marketplace. In addition to opening new geographies, we remain committed to our successful acquisition strategy and currently are seeking additional opportunities to grow our business through acquisition.”
