On September 21, 2019, one of the market leaders on the Calluna market, Heidezuechtung Kramer held a variety trial. In Geldern-Walbeck - one of the main Calluna growing areas - sales managers of wholesale companies and Gardengirls growers were invited to the site of licensee Thomas Hönning. They were welcomed by Nurseryman and Heidezuechtung Kramer's manager Detlef Twiest and Sales- and Marketing Director Rudolf Sterkel.
Besides growers and wholesalers, crop consultants of the Horticultural Research Center in Straelen evaluated the varieties as well.
A sunny afternoon with our Gardengirls producers to explain the comprehensive variety assortment
New on display were the two new sales concepts: The Rasta Girls with the pendulous stems formerly known as bud-blooming dwarfs, and the Sunset-Girls with the colourful foliage.

Brigitte and Thomas Hönning, the owners hosted the event at their nursery: Thomas Hönning. Visitors could check out the varieties on their site and during the day, 'barbecue master' Hans-Georg Fleischer provided them with some nice treats.
The variety trial is open to all interested growers, garden-centre managers and wholesale companies any time without prior appointment and will remain open until early November.
