Cultivate receives trade show accolades

AmericanHort's signature event, Cultivate, is being recognized in the trade show industry for the event’s excellence by two leading industry organizations – Trade Show Executive (TSE) and Trade Show News Network (TSNN).

Cultivate, a trade-show event for the green industry, has been named to the Trade Show Executive (TSE) Gold 100, a prestigious all-star team of the 100 largest trade shows of 2018 as determined by Trade Show Executive magazine. Sherry L. Johnson, CMP, CEM, Vice President of Business and Knowledge Development for AmericanHort accepted the award on the organization’s behalf at a ceremony on September 26, 2019 in San Diego, CA.

The trade shows ranked on the Gold 100 featured the largest exhibit areas in terms of square footage sold to exhibiting companies. Exhibit space is the key metric in determining a trade show’s importance in the industry sector it serves; the larger the exhibit space, the more companies that are on hand to display their newest products and services to VIP industry purchasing agents and other buyers. The shows on the Gold 100 averaged 461,503 net square feet of exhibit space, well over 38,000 visitors, and generated scores of major purchase orders.

“We are honored to receive this recognition and proud to showcase the green industry,” said Johnson. “Landing a spot on the Gold 100 roster means that a trade show is excelling in its role as a venue for high-level commerce.”

In addition to this recognition, Cultivate’19 has been named one of ten finalists for the Best of Show Award by Trade Show News Network (TSNN). Voting for this award is open now through October 18, and the two winners will be named in November. Anyone may cast one vote by visiting here.

A waiting list is available for exhibiting at Cultivate’20.  Please contact Elizabeth Williamson, Trade Show Manager, at ElizabethW@americanhort.org for more information.
