First bulbs planted in the Keukenhof

On Thursday, October 3, employees of Keukenhof planted the first bulbs of a flower mosaic. With this flower mosaic, a start has been made with planting seven million flower bulbs in Keukenhof.

In 2020, Keukenhof has the theme 'A World of Colors'. More than a million people from all countries and cultures meet each other in the Keukenhof to enjoy the beautiful Dutch flowers.

"In 2020, Keukenhof has a beautiful decor again. The mosaic has been planted in two layers for longer flowering in spring. 50,000 flower bulbs have been used: tulip, muscari, and crocus."

By planting the mosaic, the accent is put on the fall planting in the Keukenhof. In the coming months, around seven million flower bulbs will be planted.
