These briefings will include comprehensive updates on how imports and exports will be conducted including:

  • Exports – all you need to know about exporting animals, products of animal origin including Border Inspection Posts, Export Health Certificates, labelling, authorised premises (meat), composites, groupage and compliance with ISPM15 (wood packaging materials)
  • Imports – all you need to know about importing animals and products of animal origin including IPAFFS/TRACES, interim solutions for EU imports and high risk pre-notification post-amnesty period for the EU
  • Plants – all you need to know about importing and exporting plants and plant products, including phytosanitary certificates and their implications

The briefings will be held in London (10 October), York (15 October) and Bristol (18 October).

Each event will run from 10:45 until 14:00 and will be structured as a series of presentations covering Defra and HMRC issues, followed by time for your questions to an assembled panel of specialists. The event will include a light buffet lunch at which time you will have the opportunity to speak more informally to the presenters and panellists.

Spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Subject to demand Defra will run additional events and/or offer a webinar. To book, follow the links below for your preferred location.
