'Unending Attraction of Nature'

These are the final days of a quite unique 'green project' in Klagenfurt, Austria.

The 'Unending Attraction of Nature” has been a temporary art intervention by Klaus Littmann that turned the Wörthersee Football Stadium in Klagenfurt into Austria‘s largest public art installation.

300 trees installed
This began on 8th September and runs until 27th October. Around 300 trees were installed, some of which weighed up to six tonnes. The famous Swiss landscape architect Enzo Ene designed this scheme to cover the entire playing field with a mixed forest characteristic of Central Europe.

Tuscan plant material
Some of the plant material was sourced and specified directly from Innocenti Mangoni Piante in Pistoia, Italy. They are one of the leading nurseries in the Tuscan region.

At the closure of the exhibition, all plants will be transplanted in a park in Klagenfurt. This project has received substantial coverage from many television channels all over the world, including BBC World and CNN.
