The bureaucratic processes to set an organized greenhouse production zone for cut flowers and ornamental plants in a 75-hectare area nearby Kaz mountains are about to be finalized. Local mayor of Edremit town Ali Sirmalli has provided the press with an update about the project.

The project will create significant economic activity in the area and contribute to the regional economy. The zone will be made of 30 greenhouses and will, directly and indirectly, create jobs for 1,500 people. The land is assigned by the Ministry of Agriculture for the project. The mayor underlined that the Edremit area has a very suitable climate for agricultural production and the quality of the soil in the region is also tested positive.
