José Carretero joins 'internationalizing' Stolze

Internationalization is currently taking place within the Stolze Group, where focusing on a number of markets may be optimized further. This will be achieved by, among other things, a strengthening of the sales department.

José Carretero is one of them: "I am honored to be able to join this team and to support my colleagues from Stolze in the Netherlands but also abroad. My focus will be on maintaining and supporting the existing network of agents and partners, as well as within the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) and APAC (Asia-Pacific) to look for new agents and partners for countries where we as Stolze are not or hardly present.

In addition to increasing Stolze's brand awareness among end customers in new areas, ensuring more customer loyalty worldwide is an important area of focus. I like to take on these challenges together with Stolze."

Rugby parallels
José Carretero is 49 years old and since 1 November international account manager at Stolze Agro International. He lives in Hoek van Holland and has two sons with whom he shares his passion for rugby. That sport has a major influence on his behavior, his statements and actions.

José: "Important are the values that belong to the sport and therefore also to me: companionship, discipline and respect, both on the field and outside in daily life. These values also for 50 years have applied within Stolze and characterize Stolze's identity. A company that we can all be proud of."

Horticulture in the Netherlands as a pillar of the Dutch economy
José: "Originally I am Spanish and I have an enormous passion for, affinity with and insight into the commercial technical solutions, which are applied in Dutch horticulture but also worldwide. An industry that may provide the world population in 2050 with healthy and safe food with all its related challenges."

"We also may emphasize that the so-called ‘Greenport Holland’ with the related companies is one of the pillars of the Dutch economy, together with for example the port of Rotterdam and Schiphol. The export value of the sector is 15.6 billion euro (5% of total exports from the Netherlands)."
