Van der Waay introduces AquaJet

"A ladder alone is no longer sufficient"

Marcel Koolmees and Joost van der Waay

In a relatively short period of time, Van der Waay from Hazerswoude, the Netherlands, progressed from contractor to market leader in the building of greenhouse roof cleaners and chalk machines. In the last 10 years, attention for the greenhouse roof has increased. And there are many reasons for this. Because the greenhouses have become higher, a ladder is no longer sufficient, the gutters are narrower (and therefore also dirty more quickly) and the emergence of removable coatings is certainly impossible to overlook. The cultivation is constantly being perfected and a clean greenhouse roof is an important part of that. Van der Waay grew with the market demand.

They now deliver their products to 57 countries from a new building.

Marcel Koolmees, Roel Timmers and Tom Zwanenburg. Roel has already built a lot of AquaJets.

There is a greenhouse on the Van der Waay site where tests are conducted. A pipe rail has been mounted in a part of the greenhouse to be able to demonstrate the AquaJet. Driving over the pipe rail system, the AquaJet applies cleaning agents or disinfectants to the inside of the greenhouse roof and then sprays them clean under high pressure.

The AquaJet works without cables, is hydraulically driven and can be supplied with a stepless, extendable mast. Thanks to this mast, the greenhouse cover can be cleaned and disinfected up close. And optionally there is a module with which the cultivation gutters can be cleaned.

The Top Cleaner for contractor Frenken & Tonnaer is almost ready

If you call Van der Waay, chances are you will be connected to one of these people: Laurens van de Craats, Toine Kooter, Miranda van der Waay or Rob Vlaanderen

Tom Zwanenburg is responsible for sales. When we ask Tom Zwanenburg about what makes Van der Waay so special, he says: "The solidarity and the satisfaction in the work that I see in everyone. Marcel Koolmees is in charge of the daily management and if you ask Marcel the same question, the answer is: "We have a motivated team of people." Joost van der Waay is busy every day with engineering issues and on Friday ... ... with making eggs for the staff."

VSR (Association of Screening and Cleaning Companies) recently held their meeting in the canteen of Van der Waay.
