Coming up roses

In Dalat, Vietnam, Ngoc Cuong grows roses. He didn't plan to do so, because he used to grow vegetables. Due to bad prices he switched to roses and business is going well thanks to the growing economy.

In this video of Great Big Story, he tells how his old film was replaced by brand new plastic. "The old film didn't last a year, before it got holes like a colander." The new film of BASF is resistant to UV, because UV rays cause plastic films to break down.
