From March 1st, Villa Curcuma from Honselersdijk will join Decorum Plants & Flowers. Owners André and Mike Zuidgeest are specialized in growing Curcuma cut flowers, making the company the only one in the Netherlands to do so. André Zuidgeest: "We strive to cultivate high quality and long shelf life for consumers. We think that the membership of Decorum will strengthen our company".
In the greenhouse of Villa Curcuma a tropical climate is imitated, because the Curcuma originates from Thailand. An important detail is that the slender, exotic flower has to be transported 'warm' (+15°C).
"We cut the flowers in lengths of 55 cm up to 75 cm. Our full range of seven varieties is now available and we are happy to market them under Decorum", the Curcuma grower explains.
Jeroen Boon: "With the arrival of Villa Curcuma we expand the assortment with an exclusive cut flower, we are very happy with this!" The Curcuma season runs from week 1 up to and including week 40.
