According to the information center of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture of Iran, quoted by IRNA, implementer of medicinal plants of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture, in the first nine months of this year, the country exported about 5 million kg of extracts and essential oils of damask rose, Mohammadi flower, abroad.
Mr. Hossein Zinli, also added: "Statistics show that in the last two years we have produced more than 2500 medicinal products, traditional medicine and natural medicine in the country." Implementer of medicinal plants of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture, referring to Mohammadi flower processing in Iran, said: "The price of one kilogram of Mohammadi essential oils in the world market is from € 5500 to € 12,000, which shows how much added value added it has to the country if it is processed."
He said that Iran had the first place in the field of Mohammadi flower cultivation, and also mentioned that: "On average, about 870 to 2000 kg of essential rose oil is produced annually in the country, which according to the available capacities, it can be increased in the future."
