Oboya appoints new CEO for subsidiary COFA Plastics

Oboya has appointed Jimmy Axelmyr to new CEO for Oboya's subsidiary COFA Plastics. Jimmy is currently replacing Mats Johansson who has reached retirement age.

COFA has a strong focus on the home growers market. But for several years they have been dragged with a low and unsatisfactorily profitability. The activities that have been initiated have reduced the fixed costs, but COFA also needs to improve sales and its margins. Also, it is estimated that there are additional savings to be realized in the business while maintaining high costumer service.

Jimmy Axelmyr has a long experience from sales and management work within the market segment where COFA operates. The recent years, he has been Country Manager Sweden for Lakuda A/S and worked with clients like Clas Ohlson, Bauhaus and ICA.

”With the wide customer base and the well-received product range that COFA has, I see a very large potential for profitable future growth. It is with a great enthusiasm I take over the role to lead and direct this part of Oboya”, Jimmy Axelmyr says.

“Jimmy’s experience, strong drive and his good business skills are exactly what COFA needs. We need to intensify the ongoing improvement work and quickly achieve satisfactory profitability for this subsidiary”, says, Martin Dahlberg, CEO at Oboya Horticulture Industries AB. ”We want to thank Mats Johansson for his solid work over the years, and wish him all the best in his new life as retired”.
