Cultivate'20 Virtual is coming to an end

Cultivate'20 Virtual is coming to an end. Today is the last day of the live event, which is 100% online. So far, the platform is daily visited by over 1,500 attendees, who are checking out the 250 3D booths, the main stage presentations, the new product and new variety areas and, for the all access pass holders, the educational sessions. After today, we will know more about the effectiveness of this new type of trade show. For now, in this article, we will give you a peek into the new varieties and new products that are on display.

Can't attend the virtual event, no worries. Even though the event will be live until July 16, all registered attendees will have access to everything on the virtual platform until September 1. Click here to register.

New varieties zone

In the new varieties zone, 31 companies are presenting several varieties. Below, we will give an impression on what's on display. Many companies submitted more than one variety, below, we will show one variety per company (click on the picture to enlarge the picture)

Granvia Gold is one of the new varieties Suntory is presenting at the new varieties zone. "Granvia is much more impressive than a standard bracteantha. Full, vigorous plants and flowers are twice the size! Stunning in landscape beds and large patio pots. Resistant to mildew. Grow in gallon pots or larger."

In the new varieties zone, Aris, who are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year, presents Buddleja 'Butterfly Gold' as one of their new varieties.

At Emerald Coast Growers, Echinacea Pretty Parasols is one of the products that take center stage; a Belgian selection features reflexed petals, creamy white with a blush of magenta/pink at base, surrounding tapered golden cones.

At J. Berry, Black Diamond Radiant Red is one of their highlights in the new variety area.

Shock Wave Purple Tie Dye Spreading Petunia is one of the highlights at the booth of PanAmerican Seed Variable. It is a purple-blue and white bicolour patterned petunia.

At Selecta one, Sunrise Rose+Big Eye is one of the highlighted items.  This geranium is added to the Sunrise Zonal Geranium Series, a large-flowered series that features early blooms on a green-leaf, medium-vigor plant.

New products zone

In the new products zone, 18 companies submitted several products. Below, we will give an impression on what's on display. Many companies submitted more than one variety, below, we will show one variety per company (click on the picture to enlarge the picture)

At Jiffy, they're presenting Propagation plug solution Jiffy PreformaMax. "Preforma plugs consistently retain an air content
of 30% or more, which means no compaction, even under heavy misting conditions. This makes it an ideal propagation medium, providing an optimal environment for uniform and fast rooting."

Bellpark is the North American dealer for Visser, Mayer, Logitec Plus, DryGair & Unifortes. At their booth, they therefore are presenting the products of these companies, and in the new products zone, they submitted AutoStix Media Strip of Visser.

Plant biostimulant CREST of Fine is also included in the products zone. "It improves the germination of seed, plant emergence in cool conditions, root growth, seedling development and plant growth/development throughout the growing season."

At Hortraco, their latest innovation CERES-FC Fertilizing unit takes center stage. "With this innovation, a grower can flawlessly control the irrigation of his crops. The Ceres-FC ensures that your irrigation water meets the correct EC and pH values and is applied to the crop at the desired time."
