The International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) announces three headline sponsors for its Virtual International Conference; ‘Recovery from crisis – the future for ornamentals’. The new sponsorship support also means that the special early-bird rate of 55GBP will stay in place.
AIPH is pleased to confirm Headline Sponsors for the event are Royal FloraHolland, Expo 2021 Hatay and PERA Events. The conference on 15 September will be critical in helping the global ornamental industry come together and move forwards after COVID-19. The world’s largest flower auction market, Royal FloraHolland confirms its support for this online event.
CEO of Royal FloraHolland, Mr Steven van Schilfgaarde, one of the speakers, will share his experience in leading Royal FloraHolland through this crisis that will have a long-lasting impact on many growers. He will share his views on what we have learnt from this and how the ornamentals industry will change in the future.
Mr Schilfgaarde says: “The Coronavirus crisis has hit the horticulture industry hard, but it has also shown us how resilient we are and how much solidarity there is. There is a great will to work together and build back a better sector.”
“Let us reflect and think ahead. If we get this right, we can lay the foundation for a more sustainable future.”
This Virtual International Conference is important for everyone involved in the supply chain for flowers and plants. There are high-level presentations and panel discussions from industry experts from around the world. Today, with the support of Royal FloraHolland, PERA, Expo 2021 Hatay, the registration price stays at 55 GBP.
Rather than a physical international conference, AIPH is using a unique 3D system to host a virtual online meeting of delegates from around the world. After registering, participants receive a link to create an avatar to enter this virtual environment. In this interactive form, they will be able to talk to other delegates and speakers throughout the day starting from 8am (Central European Summer Time), all from the safety of their device.
Another advantage of being online means delegates can select the sessions that they want to join. You can see all the presenter details at http://aiph.org/conference-2020/
The Recovery from Crisis conference will take place on 15 September as part of the 72nd AIPH Annual Congress which is taking place online this year in partnership with FloraCulture International and headline sponsors Royal FloraHolland, PERA Event, and EXPO 2021 Hatay.
EXPO 2021 Hatay, is a future International Horticultural Exhibition that will create a permanent legacy for the city of Hatay in Turkey. A city that is one of humanity's oldest first settlements. This event will help make a long-term contribution to the city's tourism and greening of the city, in a way that previous International Horticultural Expos have created a green brand for other cities around the world.
These sponsors join PERA Event Solutions, which is overall Headline Sponsor for the AIPH 72nd Annual Congress, including this conference and the AIPH Expo Conference on 30 September. PERA is an AIPH preferred partner specialising in events for International Horticultural Exhibitions
AIPH Secretary General, Mr Tim Briercliffe, comments, “We are delighted to associate this conference with these three great Headline Sponsors. This platform is an excellent opportunity to bring the industry together and to map out our course for the future.”
