Two new members will soon join the Decorum growers' association. Both are specialists in forcing products from bulb to flower. Middenweg has several types of irises and Van Noort has been growing the spring flower hyacinth for years. With the arrival of these two specialists, the counter for the number of flower members for Decorum will be 22.
Middenweg Flowers
Murat and Can Kaya are the proud owners of Middenweg Flowers in Poeldijk. Since 2005 they have been growing irises all year round. The cultivation of the irises is split in two, namely in an indoor and an outdoor season. From September to mid-June they grow their irises in the greenhouse and when the summer months arrive, Murat and Can grow their irises in an outdoor field. During the winter months there are 'only' two species available and at the beginning of summer the number is extended to 10 varieties. Recently 5 varieties of exclusive dyed irises have been added to the assortment of Middenweg Flowers.
Delivering quality flowers is of paramount importance to the Kaya gentlemen because they do everything in their power to bring the best irises on the market. "Our choice for Decorum is easy to explain. We believe that together you are stronger, especially in a changing market", says Can Kaya.
Van Noort Hyacinten
Frank, Ruud and Fieke van Noort have been specialists in brewing hyacinths since 1972. The company was then called C.A. van Noort en Zn. under the leadership of our grandfather Cor and father Wil van Noort. Since 2010 the focus has been entirely on the brewing of hyacinths and the company name has been changed to 'Van Noort Hyacinten'.
The van Noort family - as one of the few hyacinth brewing - grow the flower bulbs on water, allowing them to work cleanly and efficiently. The flowers they produce are of heavy quality, are around 30 centimetres long and stand for guaranteed quality, which you can expect from Decorum products. The range of hyacinths consists of as many as 15 varieties, several of which are exclusively available from van Noort. A wide and attractive selection!
