Azerbaijan: AzRose Greenhouse expands rose assortment

The AzRose Gabala project, launched in 2018 and known as one of the leading producers of roses in Azerbaijan, started out with growing 8 varieties of roses and due to the increasing demand and interest in new varieties, they increased their assortment to 20 varieties. Since August 2020, they are supplying these new varieties to the local market and they are pleased with the reactions so far.

The innovations presented in the assortment have increased the diversity of the roses and customer satisfaction in the local market, explains Nijat Mirzoyev, Head of AzRose Gabala. As for the color choice of roses, orange, dark pink, red, purple, two-color (bicolor) red/yellow, light pink are common. Note that the flowers such as Sophia Loren, Espana, Prince of Persia, Montmartre, Heliana Orange, All for Love, and Suez are completely new for the local market and are produced for the first time within the AzRose Gabala project."

The new varieties all come from breeders from the Netherlands, a country the projects has strong ties with. "With the support of specialists from the Netherlands, we are now successfully growing roses in a modern greenhouse complex in the Gabala region."
