Global sourcing company increases focus on new segments

"We want to be a leading sourcing partner "

Over the years, Dymak has gradually shifted from being a traditional trading company that supplied all kinds of pots to the green industry, to a more diverse sourcing company with a strong focus on Home and Garden.

For years, this Danish company supplied pots and planters to growers all over the world, and now even more businesses will have access to them since Dymak’s strategic focus for the last years has been on developing and expanding their global sourcing to more products categories. Several large grocery change, DIY stores and garden centres have already benefit from the expansion.

Martin Kragh, Business Development Director and Kristian Kristiansen, Commercial Director

”Many of the materials and processes we are really good at and deep in are very comparable to what can be used in other product categories in the Home and Garden industry” says Business Development Director Martin Kragh and adds: ”In Dymak, we emphasize that it is our customers’ wishes that drive our sourcing. Therefore, we have recently opened sourcing offices in, among others, Mexico, Vietnam and India, and we are looking at opportunities in Bangladesh, Indonesia and the Philippines because we’ve seen a surge in demand.”

The increased focus on becoming a sourcing partner instead of a supplier is likewise due to their investment in their IT-platform DGS (Dymak Global Sourcing). The platform offers full transparency of the supply chain to the customer and can carry a more diverse and complex sourcing.

What about the green industry
Dymak will continue supplying the green industry and according to Martin, this industry will only benefit from the latest expansion.

“They will get a more diverse sourcing as we are constantly expanding our sourcing areas. At the same time, it will result in a wider range, with more special products and competitive prices that will meet trends in the market”
