The Oregon-based mycorrhizae manufacturer has added a concentrated injectable offering to its popular lineup of MycoApply mycorrhizal inoculant products in Canada.
MycoApply® SuperConcentrate10
Grants Pass, OR: Building on the positive grower response to the “MycoApply Injector” concentrated injectable product line recently launched in the US market, Mycorrhizal Applications has rolled out MycoApply SuperConcentrate10 for the Canadian market. This new addition to the MycoApply product line contains a very high propagule concentration for diverse application options. Designed for ease and efficiency of application, MycoApply SuperConcentrate10 is formulated for application via horticulture injection and dosing equipment, and features a very broad label, making this new product ideal for growers with diverse operations.
Mycorrhizal Applications designed its latest line of concentrated mycorrhizal inoculant products in order to allow medium- to large-scale growing operations to incorporate mycorrhizae into their growing protocols efficiently and effectively, avoiding any additional labor-intensive steps in their production protocols. The high concentration of active ingredients allows MycoApply SuperConcentrate10 to be seamlessly added to a production protocol by adding the inoculant directly into the injector stock tank. Then the suspension can be applied to the crop via boom spray, sprinkler, drip irrigation, hand spray, hydroseed/hydromulch, in-furrow, or any method that effectively drenches the crop plant’s root zone to get the propagules into direct contact with the growing roots.
MycoApply SuperConcentrate10 is now registered and available in Canada, and features four species of endomycorrhizal fungi: Glomus intraradices, G. mosseae, G. etunicatum, and G. aggregatum. These soil organisms benefit about 85% of plant species, and are included at a very high concentration of 22,000 propagules per gram (9,979,024 propagules per pound). This new addition to the MycoApply lineup is a concentrated suspendable powder formulation, sold in 227-gram bottles with a 20-gram scoop included. MycoApply SuperConcentrate10 is designed to be applied at a rate of 20 grams per 1 gallon (3.78 liters) of water in the injector’s stock tank, and diluted at a rate of 1:100 gallons of drench via injection/dosing equipment. This means that each 227-gram bottle of MycoApply SuperConcentrate10 can treat 1,135 gallons (4,296 liters) of application suspension.
Endomycorrhizal fungi (also known as Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi or AMF) are biological, symbiotic soil fungi, which colonize plants’ root systems and act as a living extension of the roots, drastically increasing the absorptive surface area and improving the plant’s nutrient and water efficiency. Data shows that mycorrhizae provide a range of direct and indirect benefits to host plants through this symbiosis, and ultimately increase plants’ overall vitality, stress resilience, drought resistance, and transplant success.
